Capturing the Real You
The Experience
Ride-Or-Die For the Day
When you book me as your photographer, you're getting more than just a vendor. I make it my goal to develop a casual trust with you as early as possible, because in my experience sessions tend to go better when you feel comfortable with the photographer.
If you hire me as your wedding photographer, I work with you throughout your planning process so I won't be some bossy stranger crashing your party. Plus, when the day comes I can protect your vision while letting you focus on enjoying your day.
How it Works
Step 01
Getting comfortable
I am all about communication. I like to meet in person before you book me for a wedding so you feel good about how we connect, and even if you are booking me for a family session or headshots I will reach out to give you plenty of information so you arrive feeling prepared. For sessions or weddings, I do what I can to keep the mood relaxed and full of levity.
Step 02
Photo day
I typically shoot all sessions with a simple set of of one or two cameras and my favorite lenses. I don't carry bounce cards or flashes because I feel like it would be too formal and cumbersome for what I hope to achieve with your images. Natural, candid photos don't happen as easily when the shot takes ten minutes to set up. We will try a variety of poses and backgrounds at the location chosen in advance.
Step 03
Editing your photos
I tend to shoot quite a few photos to make sure I have a great selection to deliver. After a session, I sort and select the best images in the set (called culling) and pull them into Lightroom for simple adjustments. Some photos may require additional touching up in Photoshop before they are exported and uploaded to an online gallery.
Step 04
Special Delivery
You will receive all of the edited photos in a full-resolution online gallery. Prints can be ordered directly from the gallery, and all images delivered will also available for download.

Why do you have a FAQ section on your page with no actual questions on it?Maybe it's because it's like 2am and I just stayed up too late finishing a Lego Central Perk set with my husband Jake instead of using my brain to think of questions for this section. More to come later? We'll see.
